June 18, 2014Today there is a bit more progress. The septic tank is in place. I took the lawnmower and power trimmer to clean things up a bit. Here are a few photos:

The river is running about 275 CFS today. After mowing and running the trimmer I was hot and filthy. I had a wonderful bath in the water.

June 25, 2014The driveway improvements and septic system are complete. Here are a few photos:

Today I visited the site twice; first in the morning when the men were working, and then in the evening after they had completed the tasks. This evening I spread some grass seed on the bare areas, and then Tammy and I sat on the beach to enjoy the river for a while. Things will start looking green if my grass seed does what it should. Now it is on to other improvements. We must decide what to build and who to build it. On the fun side, we plan to be here Saturday for the day, and we are looking forward to the highly touted 4th of July celebration in Alderson! I'll be reporting as events happen.
