Colt Colt Python - #62566 .357 Mag.
6" Barrel
~ Made 1966 ~
Complete with its original box and test target!
Here is a wonderful Colt Python. It is all original and appears to have been fired only little. The metal is almost
like new. The grips show some light marks and slight finish wear.
Many people believe the Colt Python was the pinnacle of handgun production in the U.S. Undoubtedly Colt went to great lengths
to make the Python the icon of American revolvers. Many gun writers flatly state that the Python is the best production
revolver ever made. Sadly they have been gone from production for over a decade; likely never to return.
How fortunate it is to find this early example still with its original box and original test target. Yes, this fantastic revolver
came off Colt's production line on December 22, 1966, and for its very first performance it shot a tiny five-shot cloverleaf at 15
yards. Man, this gun will shoot! It's tight, and in time - mechanically perfect just like it was in 1966 when made.
All original finish throughout - beautiful deep mirror high polish deep blue. Never messed with. The bore and chambers are
absolutely perfect - mirror bright like the day it was made. The trigger pull is like silk. Yes, this pistol has been shot some,
and there are some slight marks to the wood.
Simply this is Colt's best effort in revolver production. It is very difficult to photograph something like this. It seems that
lint and other "stuff" just appear out of nowhere. Everything is exaggerated by the camera lens and bright lights. This gun is
exquisite in hand. Remember, it is 50 years old this year. Where will you find another package like this?
I have neither disassembled nor fired this revolver.
~ $3,775.00 ~ SOLD!
Life is short. Buy the gun.
Don't wait for another to come along.
This is not "spending." It's investing.
This Python is over 50 years old. You can enjoy it the rest of
your life and proudly hand it down to your kids or grandkids.
