This is a fantastic Second Series Sport Model, made in 1948. It remains in excellent original condition with perfect mechanicals. It has the marvelous Bakelite "Coltwood" Colt grips without a thumb rest.

The condition of this pistol is really impressive. It's almost like new with the slightest bit of holster wear on either side of the muzzle and very little sharp edge blue wear. Finish on the front and rear grip straps is strong with little wear. It has a perfect bore. The action is smooth as silk.

This is an outstanding Woodsman that shows very little use. It is a great shooter and certainly is ready for another 65 years of service. It's rare to find one in this kind of condition. It actually looks better in hand than in these photographs.
