This pistol is in excellent condition with only the marks left by holster wear. It appears to have been fired very little.
There is something very special about the early post-war Woodsman pistols. Build quality is unsurpassed. The early
Bakelite "Coltwood" grips are eye-catchers and feel great in the hand. They are solid; not hollow injection molded plastic.
This wonderful pistol displays all these qualities.
Yes during its long life it was carried in a holster, for goodness sake! As testimony we see characteristic rubs. Each side of
the muzzle is marked and accurately shown. The top of the slide has a rub about 2/3 the lenght of the slide. It's not subtle.
I took the most un-flattering close-up of it I could get. See below. There's a rub on the front of the grip frame and one on the
rear of the grip frame. These rubs to the grip frame may be a bit brighter than the photos show - the rear one certainly is.
(Funny thing, my photos usually are very un-flattering, but these seem to go the other way.) I just don't want a purchaser to be
surprised by anything.
Having made full effort to discuss and show the flaws, let me say this is a fantastic Target Model Woodsman. It runs like a top.
You can carry it afield, as was meant to be, without any guilt. It shows no neglect, no abuse, no accidents. Just "honest" holster
wear. Should there be any shame? I don'think so.
All original finish throughout - beautiful deep blue. Never messed with. The bore and chamber absolutely perfect - mirror bright
like the day it was made. The trigger pull is delightful. The pistol is very accurate.

This pistol has been stripped, cleaned, inspected, properly lubricated, and reassembled.
Life is short. Buy the gun.
