This is an extremely nice Second Series Sport Model, made in 1951. It remains in excellent original condition with perfect mechanicals and showing very little use. It still has its Colt box, though the box shows some use.

The condition of this pistol is wonderful. It has only the slightest bit of holster wear on either side of the muzzle and very little sharp edge blue wear. On this point, my photos don't really do justice. Holding the pistol in hand, I see only very slight finish wear at either side of the muzzle. My photos have glare that confuses this point. Finish on the front and rear grip straps shows almost no wear. This pistol looks almost new in the hand. It has a perfect bore. The action is smooth as silk. I have had it to the range, and it is a joy to shoot.

This is an outstanding Woodsman that shows very little use. It is a great shooter and certainly is ready for several more generations of service. It's rare to find one in this kind of condition. It actually looks better in hand than in these photographs.
